Weekly Update July 1st (New One-Day Fundraising Record!)

The campaign is cruising. We had an incredibly successful pledge drive this week, receiving 42 donations in a single day and nearly $4,000.00 in deposits. Great work everyone!  Moving forward, we need more volunteers to contact voters.
Highlights from last week:

  • “Mikes on Bikes” was a hit at the Pride Parade last Sunday and nearly wiped us out of stickers.
  • Four nights of voter contact with great responses. Last night we had a record night of voter contacts–having great conversations with folks who really appreciated getting more information.
  • House parties in Mount Baker and Queen Anne.
  • Awesome pledge drive.

Moving forward—contact voters:

  1. Volunteer to contact voters Monday-Thursday from 6-9 or Sunday from 5-8. Ask your friends to volunteer—your dad, cousins, or bank teller. It’s important that we get our message out in high quality one-on-one contact. RSVP to this e-mail or call Elliott Day at 206.499.4470.
  2. House party tonight in West Seattle
  3. Volunteer meet and greet at Fado (downtown)- Thursday at 5:30. Come down and bring friends to meet Mike.
  4. 4th of July T-shirt making and picnic at gasworks- we’ll be down there making silk screened “McGinn for Mayor” t-shirts and enjoying day. E-mail Connor at mcgin104@mail.chapman.edu.
  5. Join the McGinn for Mayor facebook page, follow up on twitter, and sign up on welikemike.com.
  6. And of course, please DONATE to the campaign.

Cheers,

The McGinn for Mayor Campaign
