All three outreach meetings are at locations east of I-5. We westsiders (mayor Nickels included) “still get no respect”. To my mind, putting lightrail on the westside for copious technical and financial reasons is also a non-starter. If you thought the westside Monorail project was too expensive, pickup a pencil and look at the numbers for lightrail thru that corridor instead… a pipe dream in search of campaign contributions.

Peaceful solutions and peaceful dialogue are the only way to acheive a better understanding between police and the community . Any other un peaceful method will not lead to a better understanding between the black community and the police.I deplore violence and pray the anyone who commits violence is brought to justice ASAP.

Please set a meeting on how we can improve police relations in the Black community. We are not always treated well. athough we pay taxes and are understanding of the stress Police have
We still notice a heavy handed approach by some of the officers.

The SR 520 Bridge Replacement is moving forward at last with a fairly good alternative, but there is a better environmental variation that the state politicians avoided in their latest compromise. That better choice would be to not allow the re-connection of freeway ramps back on to Lake Washington Blvd, which is park property, not a city arterial! Please meet with the Alternative A’ Coalition before Tuesday 24 Nov City Council Cmte of the Whole meeting. This is an environmental issue the new Mayor must get involved in immediately.
