Volunteer Drive - 30 in 30 Hours (Midnight Tonight)!

For the next 30 hours we challenge our supporters to a get the volunteers rolling in—WE NEED 30 VOLUNTEERS in 30 hours to sign up for a volunteer shift! Last week was a great pledge drive—this week let’s have a great volunteer drive!

Sign up NOW in one of three ways:
1. Post a comment on this Facebook Note pledging to volunteer.
2. E-mail info@mcginnformayor.com
3. Call Derek Farmer (a.k.a. volunteer organizer extraordinaire) at 206.303-8297

We must get our message out to the primary voters of Seattle before the ballots drop on July 29th. Here’s what we mean by a volunteer shift — 2-3 hours in the evening to help us contact voters, help at a weekend event, or just come by HQ to help out. We’ll work with you to choose the best option for you. At our voter contact evenings we’ve had an amazing response rate from voters, eaten lots of great food, and enjoyed the thrill of a grassroots campaign.

To sweeten the deal we will give a limited edition “McGinness” t-shirt to anyone who can out-call our super volunteer Jack or can fill 5 volunteer shifts either personally or with friends/ family.

Here’s what we have in store for our volunteers:

Every night has delicious beverages, snacks, and guaranteed entertainment. We have a few upcoming events—tonight and next Wednesday (7/15) candidate McGinn will join us at Campaign Headquarters and his wife will have home-cooked meals. Each Thursday we have themed food nights—upcoming Mexican night this Thursday and German night on 7/16. More to come…

If you believe we need new brand of politics to build the Seattle we believe in, the time is now.

So add your name to the Volunteer Drive.

Cheers,

McGinn for Mayor Campaign

Pledge Drive- 21 more donations needed by midnight

This Mayor’s race is up for grabs and we need your help.

I am confident in my message of a better Seattle, and we’ve already seen how well this message resonates with voters across the city. Now I need your help. The primary is August 18th and we need to act now to reach critical primary voters who want to know more about the mayor’s race.

We started last night with a goal of 35 more donations in supporting change for Seattle–we need 21 more.

Donate today! $5, $50, $500: it will all make a difference.

Sincerely,

Michael McGinn

McGinn Wins Most Endorsement Votes at 43rd District Democrats Meeting

At the 43rd District, Michael was named on 38% of the ballots, compared with Nickels 28%, Mallahan 27%, Drago 11%, Donaldson 6%, and Sigler 3%.

Sierra Club Endorses McGinn, an “Exceptional Candidate”

Today, Mike McGinn won the sole endorsement of the Sierra Club for the position of Seattle Mayor (see Sierra Club press release).

The Sierra Club described Michael as an “exceptional candidate” who deserved the endorsement because his “record of tough decisions and grassroots efforts has made a real environmental difference.”

This endorsement follows closely on the endorsement from the 37th District Democrats. Both endorsements were earned by Mike’s record of working with people to create change that matters.
